Impressive Timekeeping Gadget, July 4, 2006 By I researched for this watch before I actually did the purchase and am happy with the overall results.
This Tissot does the legacy well by including some additional features that you may or may not use but are really neat to have in hand.
Besides the basic features you do have at your fingertouch (alarm, thermometer, compass, chronograph, altimeter, and barometer), the feel of the watch is really solid although I will comment that the bezel should be harder to turn since it does loosen itself over time.
The only three flaws I've found are that first, the watch really is suceptible to water in a sense that the owners manual says that it will be water tight to 30 meters, when Tissot salespeople at jewlery stores will tell you not to bathe or shower with it since water can go inside the watch.
I didn't listen to them and moisture did find it's way through making me look for product support where I was propmtly attended and they dried it out and... Read more

Rugged, reliable, fun, November 11, 2005 By I own the stainless steel version of this watch. I did a lot of research before I settled on this watch. And I'm thoroughly pleased. I'm sorry to hear that someone else had problems, I haven't had any.
Battery life: Tissot states a battery life of 2 years, I've had mine now for 2.5 and still going.
Glass: I am a lot outdoors and use my hands a lot. I have scratched many watches by scraping the glass against something. Not on this one. The raised bezel is stainless steel and protects the glass. It's impossible to scratch it.
Compass: Has helped me many times on overcast days.
Alarm: Special feature: the first beeps are spaced further apart to "ease" you into the alarm. Nice touch!
Chrono: I use it all the time.
Temp: Fun to find out how hot the water in the hotel pool is.
Altimeter: I live 50m above sealevel. And it's fun to take an elevator to the 25th floor and watch the display.

Not as tough as it looks, April 5, 2007 By Adrian R (Adelaide, Australia) - See all my reviews The T-Touch has the appearance of a rugged survive anything I can type of watch - this is not true.
While in Japan I wore mine in an onsen (Japenese hot bathhouse type place) this was the last time the compass worked. The watch was immersed to a depth of not more than one meter ie 3 feet - I used the thermometer function to see just how hot the bath was..42 celcius..too bad for the watch.
The retailer happily sent the watch to be repaired...NINE WEEKS AGO..so now I wear my very old bullet proof Seiko diver's watch.
The T-Touch is not 'shockproof' on at least two occasions the watch has effectively crashed when bumped against a wall. On striking the hard surface it emits a beep, all settings are lost and the hands become unsynchronised with the digital display - not difficult to rectify but time consuming and inconvenient.
With centuries of watchmaking experience I think a Swiss watch making company like Tissot should be able to produce a... Read more
